CONTEXT
In Lebanon, social work as a profession began in the years 1948, it evolved thanks to the determination of the Social Workers pioneers, the war of 1975 which lasted more than 15 years disrupted its development. At the end of the war social workers adapted their approaches and methodologies in an attempt to restore what was destroyed by the war, however apart from the provision of certain social structures, social workers were tired, some had left the country others reached retirement age and several died. The war was capable of erasing their experiences which could not be transmitted to the younger generations as usual, hence the idea of retracing the history of social service to pay homage to the pioneers on the one hand and others take advantage of history to better understand the present and shed light on the future
OBJECTIVES
